In connection with the exhibition "Edvard Munch: Technically Speaking," which explores Munch’s artistic process, this video demonstrates the complex process of lithographic printing.
A dynamic collaboration between curatorial and conservation experts at the Harvard Art Museums, "Edvard Munch: Technically Speaking" offers rare insight into the Norwegian artist’s innovative techniques and the recurring themes across his paintings, woodcuts, lithographs, etchings, and combination prints.
This video was a collaboration between The Harvard Art Museums' Abby Schleicher, Assistant Paper Conservator, Elizabeth Rudy, Carl A. Weyerhaeuser Curator of Prints, Tara Metal, Digital Content Manager and Strategist, and Lesley University professor Lilla Szekely, master printer Carolyn Muskat, and Lesley University students Steph Rodonis and Emma Myers.
