About

Lilla Szekely is an artist and printmaker living in the greater Boston area. She believes in the importance of collaboration, constantly looking for ways to bring together artists, scientists and students. She is a board member of Boston Printmakers, a vibrant national print organization dating back over 60 years. She has been teaching Printmaking full time as Visiting Faculty in Printmaking at Lesley University, Lesley Art + Design since 2022. Lilla received her MFA in printmaking at Rhode Island School of Design in 2020. In addition to a teaching fellowship at Piedmont University, Georgia in 2021, she has taught pre-college and undergraduate printmaking classes at RISD. Lilla was born in Hungary, though her family is from Transylvania, and emigrated to the United States at age fifteen. She has been passionate about artmaking from an early age and found solace in art as a teen emigre student. Lilla’s work has been exhibited nationally and internationally and explores how nature is a testament to time and to our vulnerable and fluid identities.
